How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I had never received the transfers I wouldnt have been able to afford having 3 meals a day and the thought of being able to build a house would not have crossed my mind. So things are indeed very different for me.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Givedirectly doesnt need to change anything at all. What they are doing is enough. I just really like the fact that they reached the people directly because if they had gone through the chiefs or TAs I believe that that money wouldnt have reached the people. So the fact that they actually came to the villages house by house is what makes Givedirectly work.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfers on making bricks, I bought a roofing and I bought some land as well. Then I also bought fertilizer and medicine for the fields as I plan on planting maize. With the second transfers I just want to focus that money on construction for the house that we are planning on building.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is a huge opportunity to me,i have never been given such amount of money for free, and I'm grateful that i will have to experience it,so I'm super excited.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is during morning hours because thats when i thank GOD for giving me another chance to live,i mean who knows maybe i could have died in my sleep.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Hunger is the biggest hardship we constantly face, regardless of being farmers, because of poverty we fail to source money for proper farm inputs like fertiliser and this result in poor harvest that doesn't even take us half a year so we suffer with hunger yearly.
