How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, I have a new goal. I have bought decent sofa set seats. I didn't had this goal before but after I renovated my house with the first transfer I found it won't to purchase a decent seats. I am so grateful for the support.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does well buy giving money to the poor in the community to build better house and to buy dairy cows. I do not find anything that GiveDirectly did not do well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent the money I received from GiveDirectly on purchasing a decent sofa set seats. I had used the first transfer to renovate the house but I had no decent seats. My house now look nice and I am so happy. I used some amount on transporting the seats home and spent part of it on clothes for my children.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer I felt so happy. I remembered it was 9 am when I heard a ringtone message from my phone. I was on my farm cultivating my crops. I did not expected any messages from anyone so I reluctantly check it out. I felt so overwhelmed with joy because I have never received such amount of money before. I immediately inform my family members and they celebrated with lots of joy. I knew I would be able to buy building materials and renovate my house. I went and withdrew the money the same day from the Mpesa agent.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have renovated my house. I was able to buy paints from the hardware and painted the walls and the ceiling to look better than before. I redesigned my varender to look better. I bought the grills and rebuild it. It's now looking so decent and free from dust. Finally I bought iron sheets planning to replace the old ones out. This has always been my dream. I had always wished to do renovation but I didn't had the money. I had children in school. Paying school fees was always my first priority. Currently my children have finished their studies and graduated. I am so happy because I am now able to do my own activities. I depend on small scale farming and dairy keeping project. I sell milk and farm produce to earn an income to support my daily activities. Currently my house look very decent and I am so grateful for the support from GiveDirectly.
