What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on fixing three steel windows 15000 KES and a steel door 8000 KES.I bought household furniture such as sofa set seats 20000 KES,table 3500 KES and cupboard 6000 KES. I also added stock onto my small retail shop business 10000 KES.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I have a built a two roomed house that accommodates my family members and I comfortably as opposed to before the transfer when I was staying in a rental house and now the money I used to pay rent I have saved to add onto my small retail shop business. I also bought house furniture such as sofa set seats, table and cupboard that I couldn't afford before due to lack of money.

In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well by fulfilling its promises on time with no corruption involved as transparency was maintain at at all stages.

I spent my second transfer on building an iron roofed house at 32,000 KES, used 10,000 KES to start a kiosk business, bought clothes and shoes for the family members at 5,000 KES then kept the rest of the money for any emergencies.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I no longer pay rent because I now have my own house. My business is also doing good hence I no longer do the odd jobs in the community as before.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Our first plan is to use part of the transfer to open a shop. Secondly, we intend to use another part of the transfer to open a salon and barber shop. Finally, we intend to use the remaining amount to start Mpesa business.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement we are very proud of is, having been able to pay school levies, for our two children in primary school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we have faced is, inadequate income to start a business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evenings, when I'm listening to radio, especially the programme called sundowner.
