How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am still working on my old goal. I have something else in mind to do, but it will not start from this current transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has blessed my life with plenty money. Givedirectly has set history in my life which I will foreverbe gratefulfor. They are not bad doers; God first, Givedirectly second!
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my second transfer on my house materials. I bought two bundles of zinc and other building materials for the house. I paid my children's fees at the school, and I also bought few food items for my family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was one cool evening when I heard my friend telling everyone in our town that Give Directly has sent her a transfer. After hearing this great news, we all ran together to the place we usually go to get a network from. Upon reaching the place, I saw a message notification on my phone. I tried to open the message inbox it was the transfer, I was very happy because I have been trying to build a house but I had no money to undertake the project.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
At first, my husband and I used to do hard work to survive but now the workload has reduced and with the help of Give Directly, we have started buying our building materials.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought zinc and the balance transfer was used to pay my children tuition.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this money, I will use some to build a new house, pay my children school fees and use the balance to start a business to sustain my family which will bring smiles to my family. I am a farmer and a palm cuter, which is solely my only source of income but it's not really enough to cover my family needs. My children are going to school and I have to do some contracts sometimes to help pay their fees. Where I currently live with my family is a thatch house. When rain starts to fall, we find it difficult to control things. If I receive this money, it's my plan to definitely build a new house and start a business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months what has brought me joy or happiness is the presence of Givedirectly within our village today. I am extremely happy because my wife is heavily pregnant and I have been thinking about how to get money to get her to a better hospital for safer delivery. The Givedirectly today, I am very sure many of my plans I have been thinking about will work. I believe that my enrollment will be of success to improve my livelihood.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenges I am facing currently is money. As you can see, my house is in a very deplorable condition and I have been living here for a long period of time, about three years now. I am making farm though, but my earnings from there cannot cover everything I need for my family. I will really be happy for any help to improve my living condition.
