How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because I managed to build a new home because the casual labor that I used to do could not have raised money to build a new home. I was also able to formalize my marriage by paying her bride prize without wish she would still be nagging me or she would have abandoned me like my first wife that left me for nonpayment of her dowry. I managed to reclaim my motorbike that was seized by Kenya Women microfinance that had taken it because i had defaulted loan payment.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly did well by ensuring that they supported the needy families without doscrimination. The recipient did not see anything wrong with Givedirectly.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer to build a new house and paid dowry with the remaining balance. I had a leaky house before that was very cold at night. My wife always blamed me for not paying her bride price and this transfer enabled me to settle her bride price, this has made our marriage relationship to become very robust.
