How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Through this financial support, we were able to acquire a motorbike that does transportation business. This motorbike is currently generating income which has enabled us have 3 meals a day now and my family members can access medical treatment in time. Prior to receiving this cash, we often had one meal a day because we didn't have a stable source of income.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to support us financially which has enabled me to buy a motorbike for business hence improving our standard of living. I haven't noticed any thing bad with GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX 1,000,000 of my second transfer to complete payment of a motorbike. Hiring two acres of land, bought food, clothes and ground nut seeds.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Acquiring a motorcycle is the biggest difference in my daily life. This is because it is now easy to earn a living as it can help bring in food, have money at hand and use it when need arises and then ease transport. Before when I had no motorcycle, feeding was really difficult. My family and I would even go without food as we had no where to turn to get money.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I recieved my money, I felt excited and anxious. At the back of my mind, I knew that I am getting back my garden land that I had given out of which it will help in extensive farming.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent part (Ugx 1500000) of my first transfer on contributing to a motorcycle. I then spent some (Ugx 100000) of to get back my garden land that I had given out in exchange for money at the time so needed it to treat my husband when he had got into an accident. Lastly I used the remaining Ugx 100000 to enroll my children in school.
