What does receiving this money mean to you?
As you can see, this house is falling apart, I have no difference with the homeless people who are sleeping on the street. I hope to construct a much more decent house and at least enjoy the comfort of not being rained on as I sleep or the sun making me uncomfortable during the day. I will save the money I get to 50,000KES then start constructing slowly as i keep improving it as time goes by.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I have five grown children and all their lives, they have really struggled through everything. They don't keep jobs long, all their marriages scatter after some time, forcing them to leave me with their children as they try to look for casual jobs. They look sad and hopeless and as their mother, I do not have anything to offer them. Whenever I think about all these issues, including my husband fleeing from home, there really is nothing to be happy about.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My so called husband fled and I heard he lives in Mombasa with another woman. I'm sad and devastated because he fled when we hit rock bottom. I do not know how to fend for my grandchildren with the little money I make from selling charcoal. Give Directly please assist me, I can't seem to keep myself together any longer.
