How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago. I recently invested in farming and got bumper harvest. This means I now have an additional source of income. I am planning to sell a few bags and save the remaining bags for my family. Having food at home makes it cheaper and more efficient since we will rarely spend money on food until the next harvesting season.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have no additional goal at the moment. I will keep on saving my monthly transfers as I continue doing my research and find out the best business that I can venture into. I am still in the stage where I window shop and do research about some of these projects. I know by the time I will have accumulated enough money I will have thought of the best business to do and permanently do away with the casual jobs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life since Give Directly came into my life is that I have peace of mind. I am a casual laborer and one cannot rely on such jobs since they are not always available. This usually gives me a lot of restless nights because I feel bad when my children go to sleep hungry. I thank Give Directly for choosing me as one of their beneficiaries because I am no longer worried about the daily needs. I only work hard to accomplish my family's development goals
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next since months in that I will have sold a few bags of my harvest. I still don't plan to start any project, I want to continue saving any little amount that gets from the casual jobs and the monthly income I get from Give Directly. Once I am done with my research I will then weigh my options and chose the most appropriate and suitable business.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been using the transfers on buying food for the family which is the most important thing. There are occasions when I have been hiring a few individuals who have been cultivating my farm at a small fee, which I normally pay using the transfers from Give Directly. Recently there was a group that came to help me do the weeding process, which of course I would have never managed to achieve were it not for the transfers from Give Directly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal right now is to make sure that I save some little cash at the beginning of every month when I get the monthly transfers from Give Directly. The savings will help me a lot come next year because I will be in a position to pay school fees for my grandchild without so much struggle.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
the biggest difference in my life is that I have been able to buy a few chickens which have since been laying eggs. I know that in the near future, I will have a huge brood which will give me the opportunity to make some profits in the event that I seel them out at a higher price as compared to their original buying price.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to be making some savings every month so that my grandchild can have an easy time in school. In case he needs books for his studies, I will make sure that I buy him the books as well as any other financial need he may have in order to make his studies a success.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I was not able to join One Acre Fund( A farming organization that gives farmers farm inputs at a subsidized fee and on loan) because I could not afford to pay for their services due to low income. Because of the transfers that I receive from GD, I was able to eventually join the organization because I will be able to pay for their services. This is a very big difference in my life because I believe I will get a better harvest this year because I have seen how much my neighbours who have been members of the organization harvest each year.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The farming organization that I recently joined has been educating me on tips to ensure that I get a bumper harvest. One of the advice they gave was that the weeding should be done in the shortest time possible. To make this possible, I will save my next few transfers so that I can use it to hire labourers to help in weeding my farm in good time.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Being that I do not have a source of income and mostly depend on farming, life has been so tough especially during the dry seasons when there are not much to get from the farms. In the just-ended dry season, my life was a bit easier than the previously witnessed famine seasons. I was able to buy food and other basic needs with much more ease because of the tranfers that I receive from GD.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I hope to receive a bumper harvest in the next six months which will mean food security for my family. I also hope that I will have extra that I will be able to sell whenever I am in a financial fix and raise money.
