What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfers, I paid tuition for my child worth 450,000ugx, paid off the mortgage amount for my land worth 1,000,000ugx which am going to start cultivating now and the balance of 183,000ugx I spent on purchasing food for household consumption.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly has given me unconditional cash transfers which I have used to support family needs as I deemed it fit. I have not seen anything that have not done well.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have now enough land to cultivate since I was able to recover the land I had mortgaged, food production will not be a challenge now and my children have acquired all the basic needs for education.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i am faced with is lack of oxen to open up fields that would earn me good yields from my gardens. I have land but it has always stayed unused because i don't have oxen to open it up for cultivation. As a result, my agricultural productivity is always low.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when i am seated with my children and telling stories. It is even better when everyone at home is healthy and happy.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Recieving this money means i will be able to buy oxen and an ox plough, pay school fees for my children, and build an iron roofed house.
