How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different in that I was able to buy a few iron sheets. I am planning to build a better house since the one I currently stay in is old. I was not able to immediately start a building since I prioritized building a pit latrine first. But now that I am done building the latrine, my focus now is to build a house. The old house which I currently live in sometimes leaks during heavy rains. As much as I am suffering now, I have hopes of living better because I now have the means to make it happen
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to start building a permanent house. I was able to buy a few building materials using the transfers. I believe if I continue working hard I will be able to buy the remaining materials and even pay for labor. I feel good because without Give Directly, I couldn't have thought of building a house any time soon. They have motivated me by boosting me financially. Finally, I can fulfill my long term dream of living in a permanent house
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life since Give Directly came into my life is that I am nowadays happy and at peace. I was able to pay for my whole year's school fees. I used to struggle to pay school fees because I wholly depended on proceeds from the sale of milk. I was almost giving up and I thought I would never finish school until Give Directly came into my life. I now have hope of living a better life because once I finish school I know I will have a better future.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the near future is to ensure that I finish building my house. I am tired of living in a semipermanent house that requires constant repair. By building this house I am sure of living a more comfortable life since the permanent house doesn't need to be maintained more often. Apart from that, I also want to further my studies by doing an electrical engineering course. I have been unable to continue with my studies; I decided to take care of my children first.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is that now are able to sleep very well with warm bedding. Before they would spent a night on simple old clothe covering themselves with light and torn blankets. Now they can sleep soundly with the bedding which I bought for them.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I would expect to open a business to sustain my family and get reliable source of income.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently am so happy that my children are sleeping very well on warm bedding.

My new goal is to built a new house as the one we are currently living in is having leaking roof.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in life is lack of school fees.I struggled during my secondary school education since I was often sent home due to fees arrears.I remember staying at home for one term without attending school.During this time I had lost hope and even decided to started selling food stuffs along the road and during market days.I later resorted to go back to school using the little income I had saved from the business.This really affected my studies.Currently I still have fee balance that I have not cleared.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening.This is when my children are back from school and they keep me busy and its a good feeling being around them.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on school fees.First of all is clearing my secondary school fees debt then paying school fees for my children.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of is having a family.Family is what keeps me going and happy.I really work hard because of my family and do all the best to ensure that we feed well and dress well.
