How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it would have been four months ago in that I have bought new household items such as seats and utensils. I did not have seats in my house because of my low income from mining. I used to sit on jerricans and would have to beg for seats from my neighbours to accommodate my visitors. This was a real shame since I was staying a market set-up. I am glad I no longer beg for seats because of GD transfers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I wish to build a house. Currently, I am staying in a rental house because I did not have the resources to put up a new house. I was to not even able to buy readily available grass so that I can put up a grass thatched house. This is why I chose to start a business so that I can boost my income to help me buy building materials faster.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have always been depended on a small income from small mining activity in our area. As a result of low income from mining, I have always struggled to make ends meet. I had to struggle and boost my income through odd jobs in the village. I thought of getting a stable source of income to better my family life. I had an idea of starting a business but since I did not have resources, I was not able to start one. When I started receiving these transfers, I joined a mery-go-round group where I have been saving part of my transfers. When I got my share, I used it to start a retail shop business which has helped in meeting my family needs.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life will change in the next six months because I will have bought building materials and built a house for my family. It is costly to pay rent on a monthly basis yet I do not have a stable source of income. I know before the transfers come to an end, I will have built a house for my family and take away the shame I have gone through.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because my business is now doing well that I am getting enough profit that I am spending to cater for my family needs. My family is now getting eating and dresses in decent way as compared to before that we were sarving on hand to mouth.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to embark on renovating my house so that it can accommodate my family well. I am currently living in a small house that can barely accommodate us at night. Moreover, the house is so old and in such a dilapidated state that it can collapse anytime. This is risky for my family lives hence I have decided to renovate by expand and plastering it.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have managed to boost my domestic goods business by adding more stock. I was getting worried my business would collapse because I am used to taking money from the business without returning back. The business is now doing very well because of the added stock and I am getting a good profit. The profit is my income which I am using to cater for my family needs. I am also able to save some money for my future investment from the profits as compared to before the transfers. Before the transfers, I could not save because I had very little income with many demands.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months l expect to have bought all building materials and build a spacious comfortable house in my own home and staying in it comfortably.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
In addition to having a running business, my life is currently different than it was four months ago in that I currently own two goats. In addition, I am always able to acquire foodstuffs and clothing for my household members easily thus I do not struggle much. In the past, I was the sole breadwinner in my house, and this made me to be financially burdened.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, my new goal is to save my transfers and top up with part of my earnings to buy some iron sheets. I shall use them to establish my homestead and create space for my sons to build their houses. This will save them from always moving during dark nights to the neighborhood where they always spend their nights.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is starting up and owning a small shop. My shop is currently running on well and it generates some good profit. It has kept my wife busy since she is always the person who takes the daily management of the business. Consequently, my family does not fully depend on my daily wages and due to this, I am nowadays able to save part of my earnings for my personal development.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect my life to change for better because I shall use the iron sheets I shall have bought to establish my own home. In my new home, I shall have adequate space for keeping livestock as well as doing poultry farming. Moreover, my sons will have space where they will build their houses, and they will no longer go to spend in the neighborhood.

The biggest hardship that I have ever faced was in the year 2013 when my child passed away when I was on the way rushing her to the hospital.
