Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy I immediately went home, thought through my budget and was out first thing the following morning to buy some supplies for the house
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I am very thankful and happy that by the end of the year or early next year I will sleep under a roof secured with iron sheets. My house was previously grass thatched and it gave me a lot of problems especially during the rainy season. The roof would leak into my maize flour, and even on the children's' sleeping space. I am very thankful my shelter situation will be much different.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfer on construction supplies in readiness of getting my house renovated. The supplies included iron sheets, roofing nails, 2 wooden doors, and brick reinforcement wire. I also got a few items for the house such as pots, plates, a mattress, 2 blankets, bags of maize, and school uniforms for my kids
