The plans I had with the first and the second transfer were huge and so satisfying to me that I have not thought of any other new goal at the moment. I had been working on a construction project where I have assembled all the construction materials. I am looking forward to initiating the demolition of the old structure that we had been using since I will be erecting a new one on the same spot.

This gave me a chance to address the major pain points in my household and even motivated me to work extra harder on other projects that I had alongside. Receiving the second transfer was the climax of the execution of the final and the major project I had since I was enrolled in the program. I was glad that the first transfer cleared my school fees, and I will soon be sitting for my final examination in the Early Childhood Development Education Course that I had been pursuing. The second transfer has been useful in assembling all the construction materials I needed for the new house among them are enough timber, a total of 31 iron sheets, sand, gravel, several bags of cement, and also nails. All these have consumed an approximate cost of KES 50000 out of the second transfer. My husband and I have been looking for other ways to raise other money that will pay the labor cost, and the daily chores have been our hope. I am currently working on a contract basis in the nearby private school while my husband has been doing security work that we are certain that bringing our monthly wages together over some months will ensure that the construction work is complete within the estimated period.

My spouse do casual jobs in the village and the amount of money that he gets is so small and only for basic household needs. I am a teacher by profession, During the holidays I pursue a course in early childhood education. My salary is so small because I haven't graduated from college. We had always wished to build a better house but this was not possible because we had no money. When we received the transfer from GiveDirectly we decide to build a better kitchen house. Currently we have a spacious house and we are no longer exposed to cold like before.Whenever there is rain I no longer get worried. I go to study during the holidays. I paid KES 5,000 for my child education. The rest of the money I bought food, plastic chairs and clothes for my family members.
