What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have a dream of being a doctor but I have been having deep thoughts of how my parents will support me in realizing my dream. The ability of my parents paying my school fees is very little as they do not have jobs that are reliable. On a good day my dad can earn 400 KES which is only enough for food. Receiving this money is like a catalyst towards realizing my dream as I will be using the transfers to pay school fees, buy books and I will also start a chicken and goat keeping project that will help in raising my schools fees in future.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I performed well in the previous end term exams and my dad gave me a present of 200 KES. I felt motivated and very happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I lack most of the revision books,I also have one pair of uniform which I have to wear it through out the week even if it is dirty.I have only three pairs of clothes and it is reducing my self esteem as I feel like I am always seen wearing the same clothes. My parents do not have a house that can accommodate the entire family of twelve people.I have to seek shelter in my elder brother's house who is married and the house is stuffy with no space nor table that I can do studies at night.
