Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to buy some roofing material to improve my kitchen by removing the grass thatched roof. However, I heard the news over the radio yesterday evening about the expected inflation and economic instability in Kenya. I am so worried that the prices of the roofing sheet my go up. I hope to manage to still improve my kitchen despite the difficult economic conditions here though good planning and saving money from the transfers.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life for the last four months is the home improvement that I achieved. I bought some proper seats and some cushions. I enjoy being home all the time when I am not working because I have a nice place where I can rest. I used to desire to have them but could not afford it because the menial jobs I do could not give me enough money to buy them. I saved the transfers over those four months and this is what has brought a lot of comfort to my home.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have completed refurbishing my living house and redoing the roofing for my kitchen. I need this to make sure my home is nice and in a good state. I also will have bought a dairy cow. The milk production will be a constant income that will help me to meet household needs. I think I will have achieved this in the next six months.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different in that I am now moving towards being fully self employed. I used to do a lot of casual jobs to put food on the table for the family and am happy that this has greatly reduced over time. I now get engaged in my dairy farming and which am hoping to commercialize by improving the breeds of cows that I own over time. My wife has also been relieved in most of the hard casual labours that often left us tired and stressed. This has been the happiest part of my life.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I want to work towards ensuring that I bring to completion the dairy house that I have been struggling to bring it into reality. I already assembled all the building materials and in the next few months, the remaining task will be to start construction of the dairy house. This, I expect to bring to completion in the next four months. It is by this time that I will be able to practice full time zero grazing something I have been dreaming of for a long time. It is through dairy farming that I will be able to raise enough funds to take my children through secondary school and their further studies later on.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
It has been very dry over the past few months, crops never did well and the cows lacked grass to graze on. Therefore i have had to use alot of money buying food for my family and fodder for the cows. These funds are hard to get so its been really a challenge getting these funds to enable us eat.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is such a morning between mid-morning and lunch hours. This is the time i have gone around and have known that like all my projects and cows are goin on well and are in good health. This is also that time that my children are playing around peacefully.

In the past, i used to be business man, buying and selling cows in the market but i ran out of money. Therefore i will use the transfer to revive my business because i was good at it. This business will increase the source of income for my family.
