How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Given the fact that it is very difficult to get grass, my life has greatly changed because using these transfers, I was able to build a permanent house and get relieved from the burden of looking for the already scarce grass and all the time leaking roof in case of rains. My home now looks very beautiful and I am a happy man.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me money that has given me happiness. This is through completing my house. On the other hand, GiveDirectly has done nothing bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer Ugx 1400000 to buy bricks, eleven iron sheets, cement, timber, and pay labor that helped to build my house. I then used the balance to cater for house hold needs like food, utensils, clothing and medication.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means alot to me beacause the house that iam currently living with my family is small and also some of my children have grown up and it is difficult to continue sharing with them the same house. If i get this money, it would help me construst a new house, large enough to accommodate my family members.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is during lunch time when iam with my family having a meal together and it is also time when we get back from the garden and we plan together as a family for the next day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is lack of adequate land to cultivate crops. This has made me not to have enough food for my family members and i cannot grow more grops which i could sell and get money for school fees for my children.
