How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I'm hoping to expand my business to another level. I intend to sell gas . For this reason, I'm trying everything possible to generate more funds to enhance the process.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly did extremely well by giving us a helping hand. This help brought a lot of relief for my family. I was able to treat my wife's illness. and I'm forever grateful to God almighty.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My wife has been sick for the past few months. She was poisoned, which resulted in her illness. I carried her to the sick bush for treatment but she is yet to recover. I'm a fisherman . All my little money from my business was spent on her illness. Givedirectly cash helped me to relocate her to another area in Ivroycoast to seek another herbalist who could treat her completely. With the help of God's grace, she is responding to treatment. The remaining money I purchase some fishing nets to catch some fish for sustainability.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Hello, My name is Augustine D Zuwoh I am 64 years of old and serving as the township commissioner for Youbor township, see the house I am living in does not represent my title. I jabe been serving in this capacity since January 2022. Currently, I am a volunteer in my job. My source of income now is farming which is substantial, we sell some of the process from our farm before we can get money to buy our provision. I have been thinking to finish my house , until GiveDirectly arrival her, which means that my transfer will be used towards my house which will restore our dignity in this community.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Bean alive today ro see a NGO like GiveDirectly coming to help us with money without any condition attached brought me joy and happiness. I have never come across such is transparent organisations since I got to know myself.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
As I told you earlier, I am not taking pay for my role as a Township commissioner, the proceed from our farm is not sufficient to sell and also feed my household for the whole year. Really speaking, my main challenge now is finance to enable me carry our some development plans.
