How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from the way it was four months ago because I'm currently earning more profits from my business as compared to what I used to earn four months ago. This is because I was able to boost the business with the previous transfers thus the income is able to sustain my household needs. My aim is to ensure it become stabler by exercising proper marketing skills and adding a variety of products.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I'm operating my business in an open-air. Since the business has grown it's not safe carrying the products back home every evening. I'm, therefore, planning to ensure that I construct a bigger shop using the coming transfers. I will make sure I build an extra room that will act as a store for my business products.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I am now peaceful and happy. I have been using the transfers to boost my business and I'm glad the business has really improved as compared to the way it was four months ago. I can't measure how much the profits have increased for the last four months after adding new stock.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My focus currently is on ensuring that my business grows. Since it's my main source of income, I would wish to invest as much and ensure it becomes successful. I'm, therefore, planning to use the coming transfers to construct a bigger store for the business. Therefore, in the next six months, I'm hopeful that I'll have a permanent structure for the business thereafter I'll use the rest of the transfers to add more stock to it so that it can grow bigger and better.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have a brood of chicken courtesy of the cash transfers that I have been getting from the organization. A number of the birds are currently laying eggs which means that within a period of let us say three months, I will have a bigger brood as compared to what I have right now. Four months ago, I could not have been able to buy the birds because I had a lot of financial commitments that I had to take care of first.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My goal right now includes building a shop at the market center so that I can have some ease of operations. Currently, I do business from my house and I do not feel comfortable about it. Some of my customers are aware of my business operations so they pass by and pick whatever they need, but then if I could get a chance of operating from the market center then it would be much better.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference is that I managed to purchase a cow at a cost of 16000 KES, something that I would have never had done were it not for the cash transfers. the cow has already given birth to one calf and I am sure that it will still give birth in the future which loosely translates to more milk production from time to time. Basically what that means is that I will not have to be buying milk from the local vendors.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to make changes in my life by first of all expanding my business so that I can be able to generate more cash which of course will go a long way towards helping me in taking care of my family's day to day expenses.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was in that I have hope in life. Previously, I used to hate mornings because I would wake with many responsibilities that I don't even know how to handle because it was never a guarantee to get a casual job on a daily basis. Each day had its own challenges and I was almost bursting with stressful situations. But with the monthly payment which I get from GiveDirectly, I can easily balance and comfortably take care of my pressing needs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy a dairy cow for milk production. Milk is usually a problem in our village, therefore, it is a good business to venture into. The demand is high and so bringing a dairy cow onboard will surely guarantee me more income. I do not have a cow at the moment and normally buy milk everyday spending 25 KES which is costly and inconvenience at the same time. I believe that when I buy the cow my expenditure will reduce and earn income from selling the milk in the village.
