I have no new goals

GiveDirectly does well in giving free cash which has enabled me to built a decent house. GiveDirectly helped me to build my house so there is nothing that it does not do well
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to buy 18 timbers, nails, 24 iron sheets, 7 bags of cement and pay carpenters who fixed my iron sheet roof

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am happy to be enrolled in the project. I will use the money to solve some of the problems I have been facing. I have always wanted to buy a matress but I did not have enough money to do so. When I receive this cash I will buy one. I want to be sleeping on a comfortable place. I also don't have enough beddings which I plan to buy with the money too. On top of that, I will buy bricks and iron sheets which I will use to build a small house for my grandchildren to be sleeping in when they come for a visit. I will also renovate my house because it does not have glass windows and the floor is made of sand.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I haven't been happy since my husband died. Since then I have been doing everything on my own and finding food to eat has been difficult.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is hunger. I have a farm and a garden where I plant rice but for the past three years I have not been able to harvest anything. This has been due to floods near the lake. All the rice is covered in water as I am talking to you right now.
