How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Receiving the transfers has helped me a lot. Yes,I had a .new goal and it was to pay my children school fees. When i received the message in my phone i thought about paying the children school fees first so they can continue their.education. Life wasnt easy before to get things done for the family, I was really struggling to meet ends meet. But when GiveDirectly program came to the town my life changed and now im able to do so many things. My old goal for.this transfer i received iwas to purchase a mattress which I did because the one I had was damaged.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly do well in the promise she make to give us money to change our lives. GiveDirectly change my house and make me to send my children to school because i had to cut wood to burn coal in order to send my children to school. GiveDirectly walk to us to give us money, which I'm very grateful for.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very excited when I received this money, because some of my children were not in school due to the lack of money. I have decided that, since there were no enough money to pay all of them school fees, two persons were going wait for the next academy year. When I raise more money, than they will join the others in school. Luckily for me, I got this money from GiveDirectly which I'm going to pay all of their school fees and use some for other things.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I'm feeling some positive changes in my daily life since I received this money. I'm better off than before, because I couldn't afford to pay all of my children school fees. But by the help of God through GiveDirectly I was able get this money and paid their school fees.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used some of my money to pay my children school fees for the first semester. I'm saving the balance money to add up to my second transfer to renovate my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this cash transfer, I will use some to recondition my house by buying iron sheet or Zinc to change the roof of my house from grass thatch because during rain season our house can be very miserable, water leaks everywhere and sometimes our mattress and clothes gets wet and some damaged. I am sure that will ease burden and bring some smiles to my family because we are always worried whenever rain season nears. My children school fees is one of the Paramount issue because we find it difficult to get enough money from the Bitterball garden I depend on as source of income to send them to school. I will use the balance to pay people to make larger farm for me and my family because my age can not permit me to make farm and do hard works.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What has brought me joy or happiness was when one of my children who lives in Monrovia send me two bags of rice in June 2021 to help ease food insecurities for that time because when the rain season comes food insecurities increase a lot in the rural area. I was very happy because I was sure that my children wouldn't complain of hunger for that period..
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges I am currently facing is access to finance and food security. I have been struggling and living in this thatch house with my family for many years and my ambition is to improve the roof to Zinc. When I build this house, I was much stronger, I sold charcoal to earn money and from there I was able to build this house but that isn't enough because we are still struggling to maintain the house especially during the rain season. My family struggles a lot when it comes food security, we depend on gardening to earn money get food... I will really appreciate if I receive help that will improve my livelihood.
