How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have always dreamed of building my own house. In doing so, I started my building project after receiving my previous transfers from GiveDirectly. Furthermore, I will complete my project by purchasing few more bundles of zinc and cartons nail. These materials will be used to roof my house. I do appreciate everyone at GiveDirectly for making my life better.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
It surprises me most often to see an Organization like GiveDirectly that gives huge amount of money as goodwill. GiveDirectly has changed my life completely. I will forever remain thankful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I needed money to complete my house project. Therefore, I bought 3 bundles of zinc ($31,500) to roof my house. Portion of my transfer was also used to buy 1 carton of mixed nails and zinc nails for roofing purposes. Transfers received from GiveDirectly has changed my life for good. I am so grateful.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal still remains the same. The only thing on my mind is to have my house built for me to move in before the rainy season can start. This house is a death trap but I do not have any where to go to for now. With the opportunity available for me through GiveDirectly, with no delay my new house is now under construction.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does well in selecting deserving households. By visiting every house to make sure that households are enrolled into the program base on their eligiblity is highly commendable. About what GiveDirectly does not do well, I think GiveDirectly is excellent in its workings. I have not seen anything wrong with their program.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was able to buy zinc, mattress, and planks with my previous transfer. Portion of my most recent transfer was used to buy cement bags and nails. I usually depend on cassava farming thus making it difficult for me to earn this amount of money GiveDirectly is giving me. It would have taken me decades to have a zinc house built but thank God for GiveDirectly intervention in my life.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have been living in this house for decades because I did not have the money to build a new house. Now that I have received this amount of money, my goal is to built a decent house for me and my household. As seen, this house is no longe save for me to be living in it along with my children. Thank for GiveDirectly coming to this community with this opportunity.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In this part of the world to see someone or an organization giving money without a condition attached is difficult. In my opinion GiveDirectly does well by allowing me to decide what to do with my money. GiveDirectly does not know what I want to do with money. I think by giving me the money and leaving me with the decision to decide how to use it is in the the right direction. I think GiveDirectly workings is best I have seen since nongovernmental organizations began work in this community.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Like I said from the beginning, my plan is to build a new house. I therefore did spend most of my recent payment on the purchase of zinc. The little amount that left I did use it to buy nails to roof the new house. Every morning when I wake up and see my new structure I feel relieved in my body. I had never thought of owning a zinc house because my source of income could not enable me to have one.
