What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I've long harbored the ambition to establish a hotel in our locality, especially considering that the existing one isn't consistently operational due to absentee ownership. With my second and third transfers, I intend to kickstart this venture. I'm confident that my hands-on approach will ensure its profitability, and receiving this funding is truly a dream come true for me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Over the past six months, I've accomplished the feat of constructing a comfortable home for myself. This achievement followed a successful maize cultivation on my one-acre farm, resulting in a bumper harvest. Selling the harvest to Kenya Seed brought in KES 150,000, which I entirely allocated towards building my house. Now, residing in this spacious two-room dwelling fills me with joy every evening as I return home from a day's toil.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My primary challenge at the moment is the lack of funds to spray my tomato crops. I own a one-acre tomato farm that urgently requires pesticide treatment, but regrettably, I don't have the financial means to purchase the necessary chemicals. Without proper spraying and fertilization, the productivity of the crops will suffer. This dilemma is causing me considerable distress and sleepless nights. I'm even contemplating selling my goats, despite them being a long-term investment for future needs. However, I remain optimistic that once I receive the transfers, I'll be able to address this challenge effectively.
