Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to save money to buy a dairy cow. This will enable me to cut the cost of buying milk. I will also sell the surplus to get money to meet its daily needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I pay school fees for my son who is in secondary school on time. I depend on small manual jobs in the village to earn some money. The amount of money that I get through these jobs is so mall and can only gather for the basic needs of the family. My son used to be sent home most of the time to collect the school fees and this was affecting his performance in school. I could go for this job in the morning and come back home later hours and this was making me not bond well with my children. Currently, I pay school fees on time and my son is no longer sent home like before. His performance has improved so much compared to previous terms. I no longer do much of the casual jobs but rather devote much of my time in doing my own chores at home. I m happy because my living standard has changed.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I would have saved some money to rent a piece of land and start a horticulture farming. I will be in a position to get enough food for the family and even sell the surplus at the market to pay school fees for my son.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I plan to lease more land to plant spring onions and green grams. This will become an agribusiness venture that I intend to carry on for along time. I will be able to sustain farming using inputs by using the transfers to always plant on time.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the income-generating activities that I have established. I used the money from GiveDirectly to lease a piece of land to plant maize. Further, I used the money to prepare that land and to buy seeds. For the first time ever, I have grown maize that has never been possible without the transfer. I will use it for food for the household and this will ease things up in my life. I will not have to rely on buying food for daily consumption having gotten this chance to farm.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the next six months is to have acquired some livestock. I will have harvested spring onions and planted green grams. With proceeds from these two crops, I hope to have bought a dairy cow. I, therefore, may have milk to sell that will add to my income-generating activities. I did not have money to use on inputs but now, am confident that my farming activities are going to be sustainable.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different than it was four months a go in that I no longer work for long hours doing casual jobs that I used to do. We also no longer sleep hungry like we used to do before when we could go looking for casual jobs and fail to get them and end up sleeping hungry as a family. I have also been able to take my children to pursue their studies in private primary schools in an attempt to give them a brighter future by providing quality education.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goals for the next four months is to be able to hire more land and put it under cultivation. By cultivating this farm, I expect to get profits from the sell of the produce and be able to buy my own piece of land in future. I currently have a small piece of land under cultivation and expanding the land under cultivation will help me realize my dream of owning my own piece of land even earlier than I can expect.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because I am enjoying higher savings unlike before. I used the earlier transfers from GiveDirectly on leasing a piece of land and planted peas and beans. Consequently, I have reaped heavily - we have relatively enough food for consumption. Besides, my dream of expanding my farming practices seem more achievable. Still, I am happy that my children are currently studying at one of the prestigious local private schools. Hence, I feel responsible as a parent.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The additional goal for my life for the next four months is to purchase phosphate and maize seeds, and plant in the 0.5 acres of land that I have leased from my neighbor. I will save transfers from GiveDirectly to finance the project. I chose to focus on the production of more maize due to the favorable climatic conditions in my place. Subsequently, I look forward to a huge harvest. Though the main goal is to ensure the presence of adequate food in my family, I will sell the surplus to attain more income.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I feel happier and more responsible a parent. Since I am a single parent, my children rely solely on my support and guidance. Before receiving the transfers from GiveDirectly, my two children were studying at a nearby public primary school - something that worried me a lot due to the relatively low-quality services. Fortunately, I have managed to take them to a private primary school after attaining the financial boost from GiveDirectly. As a result, I find that their academic performances have improved significantly. This makes me happy and more optimistic of a fruitful future for my children because they have the chance of studying in some of the most prestigious schools.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change extremely in the next six months. This is because I will no longer be handling the casual work that I have been doing at my neighborhood. I will be spending most of my energy and time on my farm because I will have expanded my farming projects. Besides, I shall be enjoying a substantial income from the sale of the maize and beans that I am about to plant. Consequently, I will be more confident in supporting my children through secondary schools and colleges as they pursue their studies.
