How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that,I have managed to acquire things like land, beddings that i needed in my home.If it was not for Give Directly money, I would have not bought a plot of land in the trading centre which I plan to build in future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Give Directly has helped to get my own piece of land and other needs in my home.Give Directly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have used my first to top up on what I had to purchase a plot of land at 3,700,000ugx.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the mere fact that i now have money to use when ever I want.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Since I had taken long with out getting my transfer, the moment I received my money I felt so happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I am planning to use part of my money to renovate my house at approximately 300,000 ugx. It will cost this because its only cementing inside it and the veranda. I also paid debt of 700,000 ugx which I had borrowed from some people who had benefited earlier than me. I used the money i borrowed to buy solar at 360,000 ugx, mattress at 140,000 ugx and a bed 200,000 ugx. I then plan to buy my children beds as well because I had promised since they are sleeping on mats. The cost of this will depend on the pricing. People selling such items are increasing prices as they think that we now have free money. As next term opens, I am going to use part of the transfer that i am keeping for paying fees for my children at 500,000 ugx.

The happiest part of the day is evening hours. This is when i talk about development plans with my spouse.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means my family shall be able to buy amattresses, bed ,bedsheets and solar. This will make us sleep in adecent beddings and solar shall provide light for the house and avoid the effects associated with smoke produced by kerosene.
