Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is happiness since my husbands' dream of joining a college in order to continue with his education has come to pass. From this, I believe that even if he will not secure a job for himself after finishing his studies, he will have acquired some knowledge and skills which he will put into practice by doing something productive which will make us have some income.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was in the morning when I woke up and found out that my husband was happier than other days. When he saw me, he immediately informed me that we had received the money we had been waiting for from GiveDirectly. At that instant, I was overwhelmed with happiness and I informed him that we had to pray to thank God for His blessings. I then called our children, shared with them the good news and we then gave thanks to our Almighty.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
People in my village usually go to neighboring villages looking for heifers to use in tilling their lands. When I received my first transfers, I saw this as a great opportunity for me to acquire them. I then used part of it in buying two heifers and I am quite sure that during planting season, I will make a lot of money from them. I also used the remaining amount in paying school fees for my husband so that he could join a vocational training institute where he can take a course which will make him get a job later thus we will get a stable source of income.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to upgrade our state of living with ease. Gd transfers will enable us to improve on farming techniques, getting the correct farm inputs as well as providing basic education and health care to the family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening. This is because I enjoy spending time with my children after school. Besides, evening is the perfect time to rest and reflect on how the day has been.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I've faced in life is lack of sustainable income in the family. My husband and I have gone through difficult times because we could not meet the needs of our children. Getting them basic education and health care services was a huge struggle.
