What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent a portion of the transfer to complete my house because I started building it with the previous transfers but didn't manage to complete it. I purchased some chairs since the ones I had were old school. I also purchased some foodstuffs for family consumption.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I managed to till my farm which has been lying fallow for a long time and I believe I'll get edequate produce for my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What GD does well is that it is really focused in uplifting living standard of the community. At the moment I'm not sure of what GD doesn't do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on building an iron roofed house because I had a very small one which could not accommodate me well with my children.I also bought 2 sheep and paid school fees for my children.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I ploughed with the money and have maize and not going to buy maize.

I spent my first transfer to pay school fee for my child for 7000 KES, 2000 KES i spent to buy a sheep and the remaining cash is pent to buy food for the family.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I'm planning to spend my transfer on building a new house since the current one is very old and weak,I will also use part of the cash to clear the fees arrears for my son who sat for his form four examination but has his certificate still held in school, lastly I plan to buy one cow to raise.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I'm proudest of was saving money from rice farming and used it to educate one of my child through secondary school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I'm facing currently is on making ends meet especially now that we're yet to plant.The harvest we stored from last season is almost over.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I'm farming.l'm always hopeful for better yields especially when I work hard in the farm.
