What did you spend your second transfer on?
I was staying in a very dilapidated house until I received my first transfer. I bought building materials that I used to build a new house, so when I received my second transfer, I bought cement and sand that used to plaster the house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly does well by giving money directly to their recipients without passing through anyone. On the other hand, I feel that they could have given us more money, maybe KES 200,000 KES. That is what I feel they have done well in.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been been it not for the GiveDirectly transfers, it that I could still be staying in a leaking house update.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my spent first transfer on building an iron roofed house at 40,000 KES, I then used the rest of the cash on food for the house. Am now living in a very decent house that doesn't leak, unlike before when I had an old house with a rotten roof.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was so happy when I received the transfer because I was sure that I would have the house that I so desired.
