Four months ago, I was a bit worried about where I would get money to pay for my kid who is just about to join college where he is supposed to pursue a diploma in clinical medicine. However, today I am a less worried person because I know that I have some savings in my account which should see us through that process.

My new goal right now is to make sure that I get enough money that will enable me to take my kid to a technical course where he will sharpen skills in clinical medicine. I have always valued the education of my kids so much such because I want them to have the best education that will enable them to be self-reliant in the future.

I have been paying school fees for my child using the transfers because to me, education always comes first. As a parent, the best I can offer to my children is giving them education. Apart from that, I have also bought a number of livestock which includes sheep and goats which I keep on selling and earning some profits from such a venture.

I have been operating on animal trading where I buy livestock at a lower price and later on sell them at a higher price and that is how I make my profits. So for the next few months from today, I will still be working on the same business and I expect that a lot will change because once I get enough money then I will be able to construct my new house.

I have always been fully engaged in keeping chicken as a full-time job and I can say that I have become financially independent. I normally sell out these birds and earn some cash in return which I then use to sort out financial needs in the house as well as paying school fees for the kids.

I have a goal of buying local breeds of chicken and stock as many birds as I can so that I can be able to generate more profits as much as I can. Currently, my stock had gone down a bit and I think it is time I bought more birds which would eventually translate to more money in the future.

I can say that the biggest difference includes paying school fees for my children with utmost ease unlike how I used to struggle. Previously I used to engage in a lot of odd jobs in order to be able to raise money to take care of the financial needs of the family. Currently, my life is different in that I am able to buy additional foodstuff, therefore, my family members have a balanced diet meal. This has improved their health status unlike before when my income was little thus getting a decent meal was a struggle to me.

My new goal in the next four months is to start saving some money which I will use as capital to start a commercial poultry business. when it's in operation I am hopeful that I will be able to get an income from it.

Previously, the casual job that I do, would earn me a small income which was not enough to gather for food and pay school fees for my child.
