How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have always lived in a grass thatched house Previously i would have never thought of thought of living in an iron sheet roofed house like i am doing now,all thanks to the money i have recieved in the program.. I have also managed to buy fertilizer for my maize field, for the first time since i started farming. I look forward to a bumper harvest this year.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly has really gone above and beyond in giving us a comfortable life most of us could dream of with the cash transfers,i would be lying if i said the organisation is not doing something well. We are very grateful for everything.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have used most of the money on buying fertilizer for my maize field and buying iron sheets to fix my grass thatched roof that was always leaking during the rainy season

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am more than happy to have been enrolled into the program because receiving this money will help me buy some fertilizers for the next growing season so that I harvest enough food and do not have to starve anymore. This money will also help me buy some food stuff since I do struggle alot to find food since I am a single mother of 4
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest whenever I can afford to have at least two meals as it is difficult to find food and feed my family
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I struggle alot to find food since I do not have a stable source of income as I rely on casual labour which does not even fetch enough money to allow me feed and provide for as the pay normally ranges between $3-5 per labour which is not enough
