How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, I used money from my previous transfers and bought three bundles of zinc and three packs of zinc nail and 50 packs of roofing nail. Before my recent transfer, I just needed money to pay the contractors and buy some pieces of planks for the roofing. Therefore after I received my recent transfer I used half of it and pay the contractors. Additionally the remaining money was used to buy some pieces of planks. Interestingly, with financial assistance my life is far better than before.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
My life have been changing for the better since the day GiveDirectly entered our town with this great financial opportunity. They have brought so much relieved and joyed to us as family and community. Their great deal will forever be remembered by us. In my opinion GiveDirectly has not done anything that is not well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Before GiveDirectly, my life was empty financially, building a new house for my family was out of the picture. So since I started receiving transfers, my whole dream had been to built a new house. However with my recent transfer I used half of my transfer and pay the contractors to start the project. Finally the remaining money was spend on buying some pieces of planks for the roof, windows and doors.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I received the cash transfer I want to build three rooms house because I have been living in my late brother house for the past five years and my kids and I has been sleeping together with my spouse and it's so embarrassing because they're growing up faster.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months what brought happiness to me was the news of GD coming into our village to work because I learned that GD was giving money out to people to enable them improve their life's. Moreover, when I heard that the other neighbouring villages that you people worked was receiving their first transfer I been praying for you people to come and work with us too and luckily for us your came here this morning, I am more than happy and may God continue to bless GD.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My main challenge right now is my business has gone down. I use to buy frozen food by cartoons like up to five -six carroons but I have no means of survival apart from the little business for this reason my business is breaking down day by day.
