How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have been in position to purchase all the required materials to construct a permanent house for my self. I have also accessed medical treatment easily as a result of this transfer. I'm currently sleeping in a grass thatched hut that leaks whenever it rains and renovating my hut is difficult because the grass is very scarce in our community. I would have been in debts of paying my medical bills or I couldn't have got any treatment at all.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has done well to support me financially. I have been in position to purchase all the required materials to construct a permanent house with this trsnsfer. GiveDirectly has only done good and I am grateful for the unconditional cash.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase bricks that I intend to use for constructing a permanent house. I also bought food, paid medical bills and I haven't spent UGX 700,000 but I'm planning to spend it for paying construction labour.
