What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on buying a motorcycle (boda boda) for transportation of people so that I can earn daily income.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I am now self employed with my motorcycle and I earn daily income to sustain my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly does well to send different field teams to visit all recipients at different intervals. This approach helps to rule out impostors and corruption.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on renting land for agriculture. I grow both food and cash crops as a source of income. I also paid school fees for my children to allow them resume school.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Being happy with the ability to facilitate my family's needs is the biggest difference in my life.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
Oh yes, cement, mattress and bedsheets! I used my first transfer to buy cement because my house was ever dusty, but it is now clean and free from dust. I also spent my transfer on a mattress and bedsheets and I am proud.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was sleeping at around 9:00pm and when I walk up I saw a message indicating on my mobile phone. It was a mobile money text from GiveDirectly. I suddenly made an alarm of joy and happiness. I was real happy, I rejoiced for sure!

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to spend the transfer on plastering my house as well as buy windows which are missing and add a veranda to my house.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that I managed to build a house with loans I had gotten and successful paid them back.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I gave faced in my life is that I do not own land for myself where to garden, so I am renting which is really difficult every season.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is morning time because it is when I dig in my garden which I enjoy a lot.
