Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
After the completion of the new house I was constructing, I now have a new goal to buy at least two sheep. I am planning to start saving small amount every time I earn from the masonry job I have been doing. I am also thinking of establishing a tea nursery bed which is also a business opportunity since most people in our village are out to plant tea though there us no enough seedlings within the village.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Many things have happened in my life since I started receiving the transfer from GiveDirectly which have really changed my life. The biggest difference so far is the joy of living in a new house after a length of time staying in a grass thatched-house which was too small to accommodate all the members of my household. We had been facing a lot of challenges especially my children who were sleeping on the floor under a leaking roof since the room was too small for more than one bed. Visiting hospital due to the common cold was a usual occurrence due to the cold nights but currently we are all sleeping in a warm house with better bedding after construction of a new one and purchasing new furniture.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have bought the two sheep and construction of a tea nursery bed will be in process.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life that now I have built a separate house and now we can no longer spent night in the same house with my teenagers. Before we got money from GD we were spending on the same round grass toughed house with my six children. Now I thank Give Directly I have built a new house with the money which I got as my first transfer.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect to have one cow in my farm. This will allow me get milk for sale and save some cash to take my children to school.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Now we have our own privacy as parents in our own house, and the other greater difference is that we can have warm blankets to cover ourselves and children during cool nights.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal is to have buy a cow so that in the near future it will help educate my children through the sale of milk.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship I have faced in life is building a new house. I am currently living in a grass thatched house but due to lack of enough money, I have failed to build a good house roofed with iron sheets.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening after my days work, being with my family and seeing them happy puts a smile on my face.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on building a new house.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Educating my children has been my proudest achievement. I have been farming (planting maize and beans) and working as a casual labourer and through my hardwork, I have managed to take my children to School.
