How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My plan is to finish my house that was under construction prior to receiving money from Givedirect. I started the house, but because of no enough money, I couldn't complete the house at the time
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I want to appreciate Givedirect first for the level of commitment that I received from them. Givedirect promised to give me cash assistance for four months and they are doing it every month and that really show me how commitment they are. This is one good thing I cherish Givedirect for since they entered our town
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
The money that I received was used to purchased my house materials , I used some for the coal that I am producing and food

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful to receive the GiveDirectly Cash transfer I intend to build my own house.Even though I produce coal but the money I earn is not enough to substain my family. Secondly charcoal burning is a seasonal thing in that during the rainy season l received limited buyers, more besides the raod get damag that increase transportation costs to various markets where I go to sell my charcoal.During the rainy season I produce two bags of coal daily and the money I earn from the the two bags of coal is 500.00 Liberian Dollars that's not enough to substain my family and buy house materials to build my own house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months what has brought me joy or happiness is when my grand aunty Musu gives me two cups of rice that cost 250.00 Liberian Dollars on the 5th of September 2021.I was happy and started thanking God for what she did for me because I only have to bags of charcoal that I was depending on to sell and buy rice, but unfortunately there was no buyers, so the fact that my aunty gives me two cups of rice to cook brought so much joy to me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship I'm facing now is the lack of money.Though I produce coal but the money I earn is not enough to substain my family and build my own house.I used to produce 7 bags of charcoal daily of which I could sell six bags a day, that was enough to buy food for my family. Now my income from the charcoal that I produce is very minimum usually two bags of charcoal per day due to the rainy season and that is not enough to substain my family and buy house materials.Im not satisfied with the condition I'm in.The house that I'm living in is a family house,I have been told to leave the house but I asked my family to please consider me until I'm able to get money to build my own house. I want to build my own house but there's no money to buy materials, therefore I appreciate any assistance provided to me by GiveDirectly to improve my livelihood.
