How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is better now because, I no longer live a stressful life whereby I have a peace of mind since I resumed my house construction and soon I will be moving in when completed. I managed pay school fees for my son too using the transfer. Prior to receiving this money, I bothered myself a lot with thoughts on how I will complete the house and send back my son to school.

In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well send me money that has helped me resume the construction of my house though I'm still in the finishes level. These transfers have helped me a lot because prices of building materials had gone high and I couldn't afford them. GiveDirectly's approach of sending cash transfers direct to recipients caught my attention because we received these money whole-sum as promised. This approach eliminated cash scandals and fraud. In my view GiveDirectly has done well in my community.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
Since I had previously started the construction of a permanent house and stopped underway due to lack of money, I decided to complete this house when I received the second transfer. I bought materials like cement, bricks and paid labor all together at ugx 1454000. I have saved Ugx 178000 for future use.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I'm enjoying each day with a peace of mind like never before. This is because, I no longer worry over issues that need money.

The moment I received the money, my heart was overwhelmed with joy to the extend that I felt breathing was failing me.
