How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am now very happy as I can afford blankets, a good bed and now a good house. These are things which I would never have had in my life but now I have them.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my view, GD did well by coming to our village and assist us in this manner, there is nothing bad that I see. Everything went well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Firstly, I made sure to make my family food secure by buying several bags of maize. The other went towarfs buying extra materials for the house am building such as iron sheets, nails,wires and frames. The other was for household items such as basins,buckets and blankets.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
It means that now our household will have a stable source of income. Me and my husband do not have any source of income because all we depend on is small labour jobs. This money is a new start.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am usually happy in the evening because this is when I am sure that my family has eaten.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We worry about food and a secure place sleep. We have a house yes but not somewhere safe as we cannot afford a bed.
