Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt happy and relieved..The money was a big relief to my household as it meant new and better opportunities interms of buying the stuff that in my whole life I could have never been able to buy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life right now is that my household consists of 2 people so in the past we had a problem of not having enough food..But now we are assured that throughout this year we will not be starved and we will be living in a comfortable and spacious house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
The cash was spent on purchasing building materials as I am planning on building a new house as soon as the labourers are done with making bricks..The building materials that I have bought include irons sheets, wires, door frames and windowframes as well as nails. In order to save some of the money, I have bought 40 bags of maize for household use and business purposes in future..
