How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before these cash transfer, I had plans of starting a poultry farm so that I could easily support my family with basic needs like paying school fees but I could since I never had start up capital. However, GiveDirectly has made my dream come true. I now own a poultry farm and already my hens are hatching. Secondly, I also sell silver fish which is helping me meet the day to day needs like food and medication which I could not afford in the past.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me cash transfer which has enabled my own bull and start poultry farm. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent my second transfer on purchasing chicken, paid labour for weeding and harvesting my crops. There is a balance which I plan to spend on buying farm produce and livestock.
