What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Receiving these cash transfers will be a transformative milestone for my family’s economic stability, as we have long struggled to provide even the most basic necessities due to the absence of a steady income. My foremost priority upon receiving the funds will be to purchase food and essential household items such as mattresses, chairs, and utensils. Additionally, I plan to invest in livestock and poultry farming as a business venture to secure a sustainable future for my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My joy was realized in August 2024 when I was finally enrolled in the Inua Jamii program, a moment I had eagerly anticipated for a long time. I am now elated knowing that I will receive a monthly stipend in my account to help meet my needs.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge I face is the lack of a stable source of income, as I rely solely on groundnut sales to support my family. Unfortunately, the earnings generated from these sales are insufficient to meet my basic needs, particularly given the escalating cost of living.
