How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
There is a great difference in my life compared to my past one. Right now I have a stress free life and I am able to plan and organize myself for future life. I have cleared all the fees of the whole year for both children in Universities and in Secondary. My life is now good compared to the past.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Personally, GiveDirectly has made what was not possible in my family, to be possible. My husband is a peasant farmer, but only for domestic use. Some villagers were mocking me that I will only sell my body to pay fees for my children. Surely, the organization has sealed that shame for me. Now I can talk boldly in praise of the organization and nobody can stop from giving this testimony. There are some cases of fraudulent especially amongst the helpers and trustees. I believe that donors denied themselves, their comfort life, and sacrifice in order to assist us. It could not be good to leave the culprits walk free. The organization should incorporate the local administration to make the culprits pay for their mischief.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on fees payment. I have two children in University, and one in secondary school, and payment of school has been very difficult due to low income. I am just a small scale business woman, and what I get could not support the family. Sincerely, I did not get opportunity to accomplish my education because of inadequate resources, and could not expect my own children to pass through the same life. I have to toil until my children get proper education themselves.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will enable me to pay huge school fees arrears for my children in high school and and one in college. I will also use the remaining to repair walls of my house which are cracked.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day in is at noon when having lunch. I feel happy because that is when I take my first meal of the day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in life is that I do not have a stable source of income since I only survive on my small scale business. I am therefore not able to raise enough money for school fee for my children, food, and other daily needs.
