My life is currently different from how it was four months in that I have been using my transfer to hire people to help me with the farm work, to buy fertilizer and hybrid seeds. I was surprised got eight sacks of maize which had never happened before, I used to get a maximum of two sacks of maize. I feel happier and encouraged to work even harder next season. I have enough food to take me to the next season and I have a surplus for sale to get money to support my family. We are eating well and enough unlike before when food was scarce. I am planning to buy plastering materials that I am planning to use to plaster my house simply because I want it to look decent and be strong. In our place, during rainy seasons it is always treaky because it is swapy and at times during heavy rains, the floor starts to leak, these are one of the reasons that motivate me to plaster my house because it affects health-wise, and to make it worse I have young children. I would wish to this before heavy rains begin because we leave in swapy areas and you can plaster during heavy rains because it will automatically destroy.

I am a full-blown farmer now. I don't rely on borrowing from friends to put a single meal on the table for my family anymore. I expect in the next six months to have saved enough money that will necessitate the construction of my cemented house hence I will no longer face the challenge of walking around the village in such of cow dung which has been time-consuming to smear my current mud house. The other difference in my life caused by this money is that I no longer borrow as I used. Since I used to depend on casual work, I used to struggle to make ends meet. Life was very difficult since I used to earn very little yet I had a lot to do with the money. I used to have lots of debts because I had to ensure my family is provided for even if I did not have money. In most cases I had to borrow which caused me a lot of debts. I have since paid all of them and I thank God I have a new name.

In the next four months, my new goal is to always pay school fees in time for my children. The situation in which I have been in because of my low income from casual work has not been enough to help me sustain my family needs and meet my demands. I believe with the business, I can achieve all my dreams.

The biggest difference since I started receiving this transfer from Give Directly is that I now have my longtime dream of poultry business. This has been my dream for two years now but since I did not have enough money to start it, I have never achieved it. I have always desired to this business because it has been my passion and I know out of this, I will have a stable source of income to help me sustain my daily needs. In the next six months, I believe with the business, I will be financially stable. the next goal is to plaster my house. I have always desired to own a permamnent house but since I am not able to afford it, I plan to plaster the one I have so that it may look strong, neat and presentable.

I can stand on my own without depending on my husband for financial assistance .I buy food on time for my children unlike before when I used to wait for my husband to come back . I have a lot of peace and I am staying a happy life.

I except to have renovated my house in the next six month by plastering it to look decent.
