How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The life of the recipient has changed so much that comparing with the past years she is doing better now. She bought food, as you know she is very old and can not farm. She was depending much on handouts from relatives who could not at times manage to give her all her needs. At the moment she is able to buy her needs and her health has improved

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i receive my transfer i was very happy because i knew i will have enough food and i will be able to build a decent house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
i used to do piece works in order to find food for my family. sometimes we used to sleep on an empty stomach because i could not find food for my family. the moment i received my transfer i bought enough food for my family and we are eating enough food everyday. i have also stopped doing piece works and i have enough time to do my activities now.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When i receive my transfer firstly i bought food because i did not have food at home and i used to do piece work to find food. secondly i bought materials for building my house as am planning to build a house once i receive the second transfer. the remaining amount was used to buy fertilizer and other basic needs.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
The money means a more safe and secure home to me. This will go to buying window frames and glasses,do plaster and floor as well as proper doors. The other money will go towards food and beddings too.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Mornings as I tend to chat with my neighbours on our way to the gardens.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The death of my daughter who was assisting me in all forms affected me a lot.
