How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer since I have resumed my college studies. I had dropped out of school due to lack of funds. Thus, I am almost completing my studies - I am pursuing a teaching course. Hence, I am happy that my dream will definitely materialize.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well in the way it transfers the money directly to the recipients. This ensures that the beneficiaries attain virtually all the intended transfers since none could be lost to the otherwise intermediaries. Moreover, the movement of money was quick with the advantage of technology- mobile money. Thus, I find nothing that GiveDirectly does not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent 20000 KES of my second transfer on paying my own school fees - I am at college. Besides, I used 4000 KES on purchasing some stationery that I used. Moreover, I spent 20000 KES on paying school fees for my two brother-in-laws who are at secondary school. Further, I bought 6000 KES on buying maize for consumption by my family. Finally, I used the remaining amount (3000 KES) on purchasing clothes for my family members.

The biggest hardship I have faced in life is failure to continue with my education due to lack of fees.
