My new goal is to put for my son a house since I have been buying some building materials using the money I have been receiving. My son is currently sleeping in my neighbor's house which is a bit far from home and this is very risky in terms of security matters.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that since I started receiving the money, i have been able to pay school fee for my children with ease. Plead with people to cultivate for my farm or using my own hand to till the land is another relief, I am able to spend the money I am getting from give directly and hire an oxen plough to till my land. Since then I am able to get enough harvest that always sustain my family to another harvesting season.

In the next six months l expect to have managed to build for my son a house and staying in it comfortably. He will no longer go to the neighbour anymore.

My life is currently different from the way it was four months because I have been able to meet the family's needs without a lot of challenges. This is because I opened a business with the previous transfer thus an additional income. Both the income I earn from the business and transfers that I receive from GD have made life bearable.

Currently, I have a grass thatched roof kitchen which also acts as a sleeping place for my children. The children are normally inconvenienced whenever it rains because the kitchen is leaking thus they are normally forced to wake up and either shelter in a safe corner or seek shelter in the main house. I, therefore, have plans of saving the transfers that I will be receiving so that I can use it to buy iron sheets which I'll later use to construct a new decent kitchen.

Previously I had to work on someone's farm in order to earn a living. This was challenging because the jobs were not reliable and at the same time, whatever I earned from it could only sustain a few basic needs like food. This made it challenging to meet other household needs like school fee for my children hence my children could be sent out of school frequently. I'm happy this is not the case anymore because I was able to start up a small business with the previous transfers. I have been able to pay for my children's school fee on time with the income I earn from both the business and from the GD transfers thus they are not sent back home frequently as it was the case before. I feel at peace and proud of myself.

My greatest concern currently is to raise enough money for constructing a kitchen which will also act as a sleeping place for my children because the current kitchen has a leaking roof. I believe that in in the next six months I'll have saved enough money to construct a kitchen thus my children will have a comfortable sleeping place.

My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because l no longer spend money to buy milk as l use to do before, also have a source of income where l get money for my up keep after selling milk l am getting from the dairy cow l bought.

My new goal is to pay fee for my daughter to train as a salonist because she completed her secondary school and l can not afford to take her to collage being that l have others children in secondary school. I thought it was wise for her to be trained as a salonist for her to be self employed and get money for her up keep to a void depending on people.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that, l have manage to buy dairy cow which has already given birth, now l do not spend money to buy milk from the neighbors as l used to do before . l now also sell to people the milk and getting money for my up keep. I am able paying school fee for my children every month comfortably without any difficulties, as compared to before when they were being sent home every now and then because of the arrears.

In the next six months l expect my daughter's life to change after training as a salonist, since she will responsible and independent, she will be able to lead a better life. I also expect to pay school fee for my children comfortably because l will sell the goats and spend the money to pay their fee.

The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving the transfers from Give Directly is that I now have my own cow. This has been my dream since I got married three years ago. Due to low income for both of us from casual work, this has not been possible. When I started receiving the transfers, this is what I thought of and I have been saving part of my monthly transfers for the same. I first bought a sheep which I have sold and topped up the money to buy my own cow. I feel very proud because I have made a big step in my life.

In the next six months, I would want to improve on my farming. I will use part of my transfers to buy hybrid seeds, fertilizers and hiring labour whenever I am overwhelmed with the work. I am sure this will help me get better harvest than what I have been getting when I use manual methods. When I get good harvest, I can sell part of it to raise money for other needs which easen my financial burdens.

Since I started receiving these transfers, life has been a bit easy on me. I do not struggle as I used to before the transfers. Apart from having my own cow, we have never gone without food. Casual work was our main source of income yet it was not consistent and with low income. Due to many family financial demands, at times we would lack food just to fulfil other needs but since I started receiving the transfers, I have been able to budget well with it. Thirdly, I feel proud because my children are rarely sent home for school fees. In the past, they never missed on those who are being sent home for school fees. This is because casual work could not provide enough to meet all my family demands hence I would miss paying fees in time. In as much as I still have some balance in school, it is not much for them to be sent home. This really makes me happy and thanks to GD.

Since I do not have a stable source of income, I would want to ensure my children are always in school studying. I would not want them to be sent home for school fees hence I will use part of my transfers to pay their fees to avoid the shame of them sitting home while others are studying.
