Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I don't have a new goal at the moment because I now have a heavy burden of paying school fees as well as cater for my son's upkeep. I also have a daughter who is currently sitting for her O-levels and plan to join college next year. I want to focus on ensuring that I pay their school fees on time. This will help them study peacefully without being distracted by being sent home due to lack of school fees
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I have successfully paid school fees for my son who recently joined a technical institute. Unfortunately, I closed my shop which was boosting my income because of a shortage of cash to run it. All the same, I still feel proud because my son never dropped out of college due to lack of school fees. I have hopes of reviving my shop business since I am still benefiting from the transfers from Give Directly. I still won at the end of it all due to the help I get from this institution
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have improved farming techniques. I am planning to use modern techniques such as in order to increase my acreage of land under cultivation. I now have the means to hire a tractor and buy pesticides, fertilizers, and other farm inputs. This will guarantee me more income from the sale of my farm produce. I plant to use this money to majorly cater for my children education needs

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Providing for my child in college is one sure way of securing his future. I have managed to sufficiently pay for his rental room and also money for upkeep over the last four months using the money I get from GiveDirectly. The difference in my life is that my shop has not been severely affected unlike before when I had to close the shop whenever I paid for his school fees and rent. This is because the shop business is my only source of income and therefore the only place I could draw money from. In addition to the profits from the shop, the GiveDirectly transfers have stabilized my family income. I am able to keep my child well in school and also meet my family's needs using the money I get form shopkeeping that is sustained by restocking with the transfers. I am so happy that my son is okay and doing well at school.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I plan to continue using the transfers to educate my son who is in a technical college. I will be using the money to pay his rent and also sent him upkeep money since he just started his course there.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I spent the money that I received from GiveDirectly to maintain my shop business stock at sufficient levels. In fact recently, after paying my children's school fees, my stock went very low that would not allow me to operate at profitable levels. But having this transfers, I was able to revitalize the shop by restocking it. It is once again back to profitability and this shop is the main source of my income. This has been able to provide for my family and is my the source of my pride as an able father.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to have changed in the next six months because I look forward to a good harvest from the maize farm I established using a part of the transfers. I bought maize seeds and fertilizer that are now doing so well. This is going to feed my family and also provide an income form the sale of the surplus maize. My family will be well fed and my shop will still be well.

My goal for the next four months is to buy a piece of land. This is because currently my piece of land is small and not enough to do farming and sometimes I lease from my neighbor and this is very expensive with the little money I get from motorcycle business. Currently I have maize in the land I leased from my neighbor and it will be ready for harvest in the next four months.
