How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, I can satisfy my pressing needs using the transfers. I am able to buy clothes for my child and also provide the day to day needs fo him. My parents and I are in a good place as I do not burden them anymore and I can even chip in and help them financially.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have any new additional goal as I still have to save to pay for the course in the future.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The moment I started receiving the transfers, I knew I had to save and register into a training college to be trained as a tailor. I wanted to be able to have a skill that will help my hustle to get money to take care of my child and even help my parents and siblings in future. I am more independent now. I hardly have to depend on my parents for my financial support or even burden them to take care of my child.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I am expecting to save some more and pay for my tailoring course. By then I will be in college training. This will help me gain skills that will help me generate income to pay school fees for my child, buy food for consumption and also buy clothes for us to put on our backs.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because I am able to support my parents in households expenditure, something that I have never done in my life before and I am really proud of it because this makes me feel that I also add value to our family. I am also continuing to save towards my tailoring course that I am starting soon.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have a new goal at the moment but to continue saving money every month towards my tailoring course. I do not wish to stop taking the course for lack of money at any stage.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I am planning to take a technical course in tailoring and the biggest difference in my daily life is that I have peace after saving most part of my monthly transfers towards this. I have seen many people prosper in this career and that is when I developed an interest in it. I also know that from this I will be self-dependent, I will be able to meet my family needs and support my parents in meeting our daily household needs too.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have saved enough money and started my course of tailoring.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I dropped school at the primary level because I became pregnant and after delivery, there was no one I could leave my baby to and attend school. My only hope was to do a tailoring course and the dream seemed unattainable since my parent who had to pay my school fees did not have enough money because their main source of income wasn't enough to pay school fees and sustain my family's needs as well. The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to save money to pay for the tailoring course. Through saving successfully, I am certain that I will be able to complete this course and to get employed or rather start my own business and assist my parent back at home financially.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I shall save some money to buy a goat, When they will have reproduced I will sell them to earn an extra coin to meet additional needs for my family unlike before where my parents could provide everything.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My only hope was to do a tailoring course seemed unattainable since my parent who had to pay my school fees did not have enough money because their main source of income wasn't enough to pay school fees and sustain my family's needs as well. Currently, the biggest difference in my life is that I have been able to save money to pay for the tailoring course. Through saving successfully, I am certain that I will be able to complete this course and to get employed or rather start my own business and assist my parent back at home financially.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal for the next four months is to save for my college education. I believe through completing college I will be able to get employed and assist my parent back at home to provide the basic household needs.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is giving birth while still in school. I had to do my KCPE examination immediately after giving birth. This was not a walk in the park, handling the exams and a young baby at the same time with both requiring your attention was difficult.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening after finishing my house chores and am able to go for walk with my friends.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer to my secondary school fees. I did my KCPE last year and have not been able to join secondary school due to lack of school fee.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The proudest achievement is sitting for my class eight final exams. I have had to repeat classes but I so happy that last year I was able to not only join class eight but also did my final exams.
