How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is very different in terms of social and economic development. I am a provider of my household basic needs as I do my own business of motorcycle transport. I Bought two cows that I paid as dowry to legalize my marriage as dictated by our community culture. I bought chairs where we sit comfortably unlike before when we used to sit on the floor or go begging. I am no longer the gossip of our village that had northing of worth.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly gave people an opportunity to change their living standard for batter. I have the freedom of choice and decision making which make me feel satisfied and peaceful with myself. I have no observation that is worth mentioning that never worked well
What did you spend your second transfer on?
In spent the second transfer on purchase of a motorcycle that I use for transport business. As a young man with no proper education and skills, it was very difficult to get a reasonable employment. Motorcycle transport business has become a source of employment and income to me. I am able to provide for my family with ease as compared to tedious and unpredictable casual labor that I used to offer before.
