How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am satta Quoi from Kpagbola town, Bomi county Liberia. I planned to save my last cash transfer to start business.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly is the first organization that I have seen to be trustworthy and committed to their Job. I was told that I will receive cash transfer in four installment and did receive full payment in four months period. I am not surprise at the blessing God is going to pull on those that have contributed in helping me because I am always praying that God should continue blessing them. I have not heard of anything that Givedirectly didn't do well in this village. Thanks to Givedirectly and those who contributed in helping me. I am so excited.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have not cash out my money yet due to busy schedule. Upon cash out, I am planning to open a shop and put in dry goods for sale in order to continue payment of my children school fees.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
On November 11, 2021 I was at home washing my dishes when a boy from our town came in the town with excitement. He said when he was at a network location with his mother phone, he received an alarm from GiveDirectly indicating that his mother has received a transfer from GiveDirectly. We all hurry to the football field where we normally find network for our phones to check our accounts as well. And when I checked mine, I saw my money and I was so happy that day.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before GiveDirectly came to help us, I have been wanting to fix my room for sometime now but didn't had any money to do it. Through GiveDirectly transfer, I was able to fix my room more beautiful than ever.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy cement in order to fix my house and room. I also bought furnitures for my room so that I can beautify it. I used the remaining amount to buy food for my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful to receive the transfer, I will invest it into business. I have made a plan long time to make business, but I had never had money for that. And the business is to go to Monrovia, buy rice, pepper, salt bags and other table market things, bring same here in this town and sale them retail ( by cup). I decided to do this particular business because it is fast going here; and got more profits. The cassava pitch I made to to sale and have money to invest into the business that I have planed to do , such cassava don't have good price in the market these days. Besides, the cassava pitch work is a hard( difficult) work for me. As such, I have made this plan long time to get into business so as to have some rest of the body from the too much physical work. And fortunately for me, GD is here today and has promised to send me transfer when I am successful in the processes that were explained to me in the meeting.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For me and my household, we are always happy ; the fact that we are living in a peaceful home. That is, my spouse and I are happily living here without misunderstanding. Although the food shortage can be there, couple with money not in the home, yes. But we are not the only family with such challenges. So we are thankful to God for the peaceful home he given us.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My major challenge here is the shortage of food for the home. This is my major challenge because everytime we make rice farm so as to have food in the home, the rice planted on the farm doesn't produce good yield. And this is because birds always eat the rice on the farm. Besides, again the cassava pitch the family make sometimes to support the home when there is no enough rice, is the same cassava we sale some to take care of the family medical bills, clothing and other things life required. So as the result of this, we are many times out of food.
