How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No, I don't have any new goals, but I have been thinking about improving my house and by the grace of God I received my last transfer and did some major renovation on my house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly is doing everything well for me, looking at my past life and how far I have reached there's great improvement in my life since I encountered give directly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought cement to plastered my house because the rainy season is already here.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I live in my elder brother's house. This house leaks each time rain falls because there is no zinc in the house except the palm fronds. One day, I was at the farm and the rain fell, it wet my mattress that day. I don't always feel fine when the rain is falling and I'm not home. When I receive this transfer, I plan to build my own house that will have zinc on the roof and far better than where I am staying now. I had a business before and it broke down because we used to take money from there to feed ourselves. It used to help us at that time but since it broke down, it has not been easy for my family. If I get this money and build my house, if there will be any money that will be left, I will want to start a new business, mainly to sell clothes. With this business, I can be using my profit for other things that will better the lives of my husband and son.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The main thing that has brought me happiness in my life was when my husband paid my dowry. At my age, I was happy that I will be living with the father of my son and not have other children by other men.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My husband used to work in Gbah with miners but he has been sacked and since then, there has been serious constraints for us to get food, mainly for our son. For us the bigger ones, we can manage to sleep on the little that we have eaten but not for my son. We didn't make farm this year. Sometimes, I will have to go on my sister's farm to cut rice, just for us to have something to eat but it can be very embarrassing for me.
