What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I prioritized education of my children since I never had means of educating them before-I cleared whole year school fees for the two and invested the remaining amount in shoe business that I am proud of since it earns me handsomely.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
GD has eradicated poverty in my household; I had an accident when I was playing football and this could explain why I was not productive to my household members. And since I started a business courtesy of Give Directly, I have managed to revive my productivity and as we talk, I am able to support my household members well. I think I would have not been considered a responsible father I would have never received transfers from Give Directly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own opinion, Give Directly's officials are not corrupt and here is where they do it well but I think they don't get it right when they skip some villages in our communities since this could occasionally lead to theft.
